I was second shooter for a wedding at Breckenridge this past weekend with photographer Kira Horvath. Beautiful weather, beautiful relaxed fun couple, Andrew and Lesley Perry. Ceremony was on top of the mountain surrounded by wildlife ( a fox and an elk visited) and the most perfect fall colors. Decided to use my still fairly new 50mm 1.2 lens. Was perfect for capturing the fall foliage and the relaxed mood of the wedding.
Kira followed the bride’s preparation while I followed the groom’s preparation. It was nice to work with a fun flexible group of guys who weren’t at all intimated or nervous around the camera. I could set them up in to some loose poses and let them have fun with it and I could also just watch their antics unfold with plenty of photogenic moments. They had already picked out a couple of spots for photos which was really nice. Both bride and groom are avid football fans so was excited to capture that from both sides.
The couple also spent a lot of time making a lot of the decorations for their wedding including gondola shaped guest place settings and table settings so I spent a good amount of time getting detailed shots of their work.
It’s always really nice working with Kira. She is professional yet relaxed and has a lot of fun with her people, adding to their wedding experience without adding stress to it. All in all was an amazing day for photography.
Looking forward to the next wedding.
